UP UP AND AWAY
The weather was perfect. It has been windy for the past few days and I have been wishing to try out kite flying. Yes try.. which means that it would have been my first attempt at it. Kesian kan? I'm like a quarter century old and yet to fly a kite?? Well there are a lot of things I have yet to try and this is just one which won't be too costly (time, effort nor money).
So today after Cik Ju's house, the kids immediately changed out and we headed back to Woodlands. Parked the car in front of Christ Church Secondary and we climbed up the hill to the topmost spot.
Laid our mat, set our loot of snacks, drinks, rendang and bread.

We couldn't resist the aroma of the freshly cooked chicken rendang and therefore settled on filing our stomaches first. The wind was refreshing and it was just a new experience for the kids and I being on that vast field overlooking the expressway. After licking our fingers clean, we experimented with our kites. It wasn't that difficult at all because the wind was really strong. Our kites soared up high and I was feeling elated and excited at how high they can go until Nabil had to spoil it. He started to panic when the kite went higher and was crying frantically and begging me to bring them lower. (I captured a video of him crying but somehow according to sis, it can't be uploaded. Wasted.)

So the rest of the time, our kites remained just mid high. But still the three of us really had a lot of fun. We continued snacking and and taking photos until more ants and they started becoming bigger, came attacking us on our mat. They must have been attracted by the leftover rendang and lemon barley drink. They succeeded in chasing us out of their territory.
So finally I can declare proudly that I have tried kite flying. So when's next and what's next?
