KIDS SAY THE DARNEST THING
Just came back from the 3D2N District Sixer's Camp. Thank you Joyce for volunteering to stay over with me last night. I only went over yesterday and I really learnt a lot from the session. It wasn't a training session just for the boys but also for me, since I am pretty much clueless about how to conduct the scouts sessions. Hopefully I get to enrol myself (with Joyce) into the basic trainers' course and do some justice to the boys. Feeling kind of guilty that I have not been able to perform as a scouts' leader (unfortunately all 4 of us are untrained).
By the way.. yesterday I got to join the OM team for a short 1 hour after my Mendaki session. We really got to push ourselves already. Not much time left and I'm really feeling the pressure. Got a relief for my Mendaki sessions for the next 3 weeks and it's gona be OM, OM, OM all the way!
As we were working on the props, I had a casual conversation with one of the member
T: Miss Azah, have you ever been in love?
Me: Why do you ask?
T: Like have you loved someone when you were in primary school?
Me: *Hhmm Miss Azah senses love in the air* Eerr yyaa.... maybe not love but just like...
*Trying not to to suggest anything unhealthy while they are still young*
Ahah... you like someone in school right?
T: *Blushing* Ya... Miss Azah do you still like that boy whom you like in primary school? Do you still remember his name?
Me: That was so long ago but of course I can remember his name la! He is still my friend.
So common tell me who?
T: But S also likes her (Anyway S is also another of my OM members). Ya we both like L.
J: *interrupts from a metre away*
Ya Miss Azah! It's a love triangle!
Me: *Smiling* Oh oh! So tell me what do you like about her?
T: I don't know Miss Azah. Love cannot be explained.... (I tried not to laugh when I heard this. It just sounds funny hearing him say it). I even asked my sister and she agreed with me. I even ask S and both of us cannot say why we both like her.. We just like her Miss Azah..
Love really cannot be explained right Miss Azah?
The conversation continued for quite a while....
I just couldn't help smiling as I listened to him. The whole conversation was just so cute. The way he was innocently sharing his feelings with me and his whole idea of how beautiful love is. I hope love remains a beautiful thing for him, not to be tarnished by some bad experience. But of course he is still too young to really know what it is really all about.
Hhhmmm perhaps all this discussion during Science on the reproduction in animals triggered all this... haha.

IT'S THE TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN
I was teaching P5 Science last year... and now I'm doing it again, with two classes. Had a brief introduction of the next topic with 5B ,and just like last year, I was already anticipating reactions...

Some were giggling softly, some were covering their faces, some were giving that usual "Eeee so disgusting!" remark.. and I was trying to put up a straight face.

"So anyone wants to share their comments on the next topic? Or do we already have experts to present the topic to the whole class?" And they all immediately went silent although some were still grinning away.
And so the time has come again for me to introduce the topic on reproduction in animals. Haha so you know why Science is such an interesting subject. And I enjoy teaching the subject so far...
The email which I got today is just of appropriate topic...
Just for some laugh...

A little boy goes to his father and asks, 'Daddy, how was I born?
'The father answers, 'Well, son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway.
Your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo. Then I set up a datevia e-mail with your Mom and we met at a cyber-cafe.
We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive. As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a little Pop-Up appeared that said:

.

'You got Male!'
Kids, just don't get too curious and ask me too many interesting questions.
